Warrior Run students attend leadership meeting

— GRANTHAM — The Warrior Run’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of American (FCCLA) Chapters attended the 2012 Central Regional leadership meeting on Oct. 12 at Messiah College in Grantham.

There 27 members of middle and high school students of FCCLA went to workshops that dealt with membership, state officer candidacy, national programs & S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Action for Recognition) events, community, outreach projects, and Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

They also attended an opening program in which Joe Arthur, CEO of Pennsylvania Food Bank, talked to the students about the food bank and how they could help

Workshops provide an opportunity for students and advisers to come together for fun, inspiration, to expand leadership skills, sharpen talents, and explore career pathways. FCCLA members strive to make a lasting impression in their families, schools, and communities. Through positive initiatives and strong leadership development, FCCLA prepares its members to make their mark on society.
