McCLURE — A McClure man was arrested early on Christmas morning after he pointed a rifle at someone with whom he was arguing at a late night get-together, police said.
Zane Zimmerman, 37, was charged by police with several counts, including simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, harassment, and disorderly conduct, after he aimed a rifle at two individuals, Andrew Hoy and a male juvenile, who had gone to a residence at 25540 Route 522. Several men and women were already at that location when Hoy and his companion arrived, police said.
The incident took place at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday.
Police did not say how the altercation began, but at some point there was an argument between Hoy and people at the home. That’s when Zimmerman appeared with a gun, police said.
Zimmerman was taken into custody by Middleburg police officers and arraigned by District Judge Leo Armbruster.
