— SELINSGROVE — The Snyder County Conservation District’s Annual Awards Banquet will be held on March 21 at the Christ Community Church, 3939 Park Road, Selinsgrove, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Traditionally many individuals and organizations are honored for their effort toward conservation.

This year’s guest speaker will be educator, musician, and sportsman Van Wagner who will give a presentation on Elk in Pennsylvania, a 100 year success story based on partnerships. This multimedia program celebrates this amazing story of 100th anniversary elk restoration in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Game Commission contracted award winning educator and Pennsylvania songwriter Van Wagner to create this entertaining and educational program.

Tickets for the turkey dinner are $15 for adults, $8 for children 5-10, and under 5 free. Awards will be presented to conservation minded individuals as well as door prizes to lucky winners. Tickets may be purchased from any district director, associate director or at the conservation district office. A final count is needed by March 14. For more information, call (570) 837-3000 ext. 110.
