SELINSGROVE — The Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation announces grant opportunities through its second annual competitive grantround which is open now and will continue into April.
The Foundation is dedicated to the enrichment of the quality of life in the Selinsgrove area and surrounding communities through superior stewardship of enduring charitable gifts. Charitable organizations that invest in community programs and projects are encouraged to apply for grant awards up to $1,000. Approximately $6,000 is available to grant.
Only 501 (c) (3) non-profit and governmental organizations are eligible to apply and 100 percent of requested funding from the above noted funds must be invested within the Selinsgrove and surrounding areas. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
Grant applications must be completed and submitted through a web-based program. Prior to beginning the grant application process, applicants are encouraged to watch a short tutorial. Interested applicants can find the tutorial and grant application by visiting www.csgiving.org, clicking on “Looking for a Grant” and then Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation.
Grant requests must be submitted online by 5 p.m. March 7.
The Selinsgrove Area Community Foundation was founded in 1994 by the Selinsgrove Rotary Club. Originally it was known as the Selinsgrove Area Youth Foundation due to its focus on providing scholarships for graduating high seniors. Today our mission is much broader. The Foundation is a philanthropic resource the enables individuals, businesses and institutions to enhance the quality of life in their community.
