Snyder County Veterans Memorial

— SELINSGROVE — East Snyder Park has started a project at the entrance to the park to honor Snyder County veterans. For their sacrifice and loyalty to keep us free, this memorial is a fitting way to thank all veterans.

The memorial area will consist of a monument with two plaques. The inscription on the plaque on top of the monument is “Snyder County Veterans Memorial, Land of the Free Because of the Brave” with the six service emblems. The inscription on the front of the monument is” ln Honor and Memory of Snyder County Veterans, All Gave Some, Some Gave All”.

The plaque is being paid for by the six military organizations in Snyder County.

Also included in this memorial area will be a designated section for Killed in Action (KlA) and Missing ln Action (MlA), personalized bricks and pavers, two meditation benches, a vinyl fence and donated flowering shrubs.

Personalized bricks and pavers will surround the monument. The personalized bricks are 4-inch by 8-inch and up to four lines can be purchased for $50 and 8-inch by 8-inch pavers with up to eight lines can be purchased for $100. These bricks and pavers are not only a thoughtful way to remember a loved one who served but also a way for you or your business to show your thanks to them.

Personalized brick applications can be secured at any VFW or American Legion in Snyder County, at the Penn Township Building on Clifford Road or online at
