My talents or hobbies: I enjoy baking and making homemade gifts. I also love to play field hockey and geocache.

Among the leadership positions I have held: vice president of the Class of 2013 for all four years of high school, co-captain of 2012 field hockey team and co-editor of yearbook

Among my special achievements and awards: varsity letter winner in field hockey; National Honor Society; academic all-state team for field hockey

How I have given back to the community: Camp Spifida counselor; Soles 4 Souls; Girls on the Run; fifth-grade camp counselor; St. Pius X youth ministry

My plans upon graduation: attend a four-year college, study abroad and become a pediatrician

Why I was selected as a Young American: Because of my involvement in my school and community. I enjoy helping people and continuing to learn.

What you should know about me: I love to travel. Someday I hope to be on “The Amazing Race!”
