Drive Out Cancer Campaign Celebration held Sept. 28

— SELINSGROVE — Everyone is invited to the celebration of the conclusion of a very successful ‘Drive Out Cancer’ Campaign to be held from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 28 at Selinsgrove Ford.

Last Oct. 6, the Campaign was kicked-off at Selinsgrove Speedway with the sale of the first 1,000 raffle tickets for a red 2002 Ford Mustang, which was donated by Selinsgrove Ford to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.  Since then the car has travelled throughout seven counties bringing awareness to the fight against cancer and raising funds at $1 per raffle ticket. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to support such programs as Road To Recovery, Reach To Recovery and Look Good, Feel Better. These programs and services are provided to area cancer patients at no charge. Any questions concerning these programs can be answered by calling (800) ACS.2345 or visiting

Tickets will remain on sale for $1 each, right up to the time of the drawing.

The celebration will include music by Max Media, hot dogs compliments of Selinsgrove Ford with door prizes for those in attendance. At noon, Madacyn Walter, daughter of Reanne and Timothy Walter, of Milton, will draw the one lucky ticket for the winner of the Mustang. Walter was the 2010 Honorary Chairperson of the Milton Area Relay For Life.

Ray Benner and Todd Benner will announce the winner live on B98.5 and describe the ‘Drive Out Cancer’ vehicle for the 2014 Relay For Life.

Any questions can be directed to Pat Grell at (570) 916-6559.
