Snyder County Dog Owners Urged to Purchase 2014 Dog Licenses

— MIDDLEBURG — Snyder County Treasurer Debra A. Kratzer reminds all dog owners to purchase a 2014 dog license as required by Pennsylvania law. There will be a large group canvas for licenses and rabies shots within Snyder County on May 7.

State law requires that all dogs three months or older be licensed each year. Failure to license a dog is a summary offense and could result in a maximum fine of $300 for each unlicensed dog.

Annual license fees are $6.45/spayed or neutered or $8.45. Seniors citizens, 65 years of age or older, or persons with proof of disability pay $4.45/spayed or neutered or $6.45.

Licenses may be purchased at: Snyder County Treasurer’s Office, Companion Animal Hospital (Paws (Inn), Hilsher’s General Store, Martin’s Family Hardware, or online at www.padoglicense.com.
