— A microsurfacing project along two separate sections of state highway in Snyder County will begin this Friday.

Prime contractor Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. will start by placing the thin roadway preservation treatment on a 2.5-mile section of Route 104 in Franklin Township, beginning north of Middle Road and ending at the Penns Creek Bridge at the Union County line.

Microsurfacing will also be done on a two-thirds-of-a-mile section of Routes 11-15 in Monroe Township, beginning under the overpass just north of Selinsgrove and ending just south of Roosevelt Avenue.

Work will be done one lane at a time between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with flaggers controlling traffic, beginning Friday on Route 104 and the work on Routes 11-15 gets under way Sunday.

Construction under this $189,735 contract will be completed by August 9.
