A rummage sale continues 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Sunbury, 238 Market St. Benefits mission projects.

FISH FRY/Sunbury

A fish fry held from 4:30-7 p.m. at Good Will Hose Company, 500 Reagan St. Cost of $8.50 includes macaroni and cheese and stewed tomatoes or french fries and cole slaw. For deliveries, (570) 286-2831.


The free workshops, “WorkKeys Practice” presented 9:30 a.m.-noon, and “Intro to Computers,” 12:30-3 p.m. at PA CareerLink, 225 Market St. Must preregister. Call (570) 988-7300.

Toddler story time begins at 10 a.m. in the Community Room of the Degenstein Community Library. For children one to three years old. It includes music and movement, play and book sharing.

BLESSING OF PETS/Northumberland

Blessing of Pets held noon-2 p.m. at Pineknotter Park. This event is being sponsored by the social ministry committee of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Pets should be properly restrained or caged.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT/Northumberland

Priestley-Forsyth Memorial Library Fall Family Fun Night held 5-7 p.m. at the library. Free admission. Children’s author Kelly Hufnagle Miller will read her book, “The Monster and the Washer.” Activities for all ages. Fun with Science. Sponsored by Spirit Reachers and PFML Teen Paranormal Club.

5K FUDGE RUN/Northumberland

The fifth annual Pineknotter 5K Fall Fudge Run starts at 9 a.m. at King Street Park. Registration 8-8:45 a.m. at the pavilion in the middle of King Street Park. Course is 3.1 miles through the historic section of Northumberland. Entry fee is $15 by Friday or $20 thereafter. Awards include a $50 gift certificate from Elite Feet to top male and female runner. Fudge awarded to the top three competitors in each age group, one pound for first place, one-half pound for second place, one-quarter pound for third place, and a piece of fudge to every finisher. Also door prizes. Age groups are 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older. Also Little Warriors Run with start time at 10 a.m. Age groups, 1-5 (one-quarter mile)  6-8 (one-half mile) and 9-12 (one mile). A $3 entry fee will be collected day of race.
