5K FUDGE RUN/Northumberland
The fifth annual Pineknotter 5K Fall Fudge Run starts at 9 a.m. at King Street Park. Registration 8-8:45 a.m. at the pavilion in the middle of King Street Park. Course is 3.1 miles through the historic section of Northumberland. Entry fee is $15 by Friday or $20 thereafter. Awards include a $50 gift certificate from Elite Feet to top male and female runner. Fudge awarded to the top three competitors in each age group, one pound for first place, one-half pound for second place, one-quarter pound for third place, and a piece of fudge to every finisher. Also door prizes. Age groups are 14 and younger, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and older. Also Little Warriors Run with start time at 10 a.m. Age groups, 1-5 (one-quarter mile) 6-8 (one-half mile) and 9-12 (one mile). A $3 entry fee will be collected day of race.
