Area Lutheran churches will host a fall festival from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Wolfe’s Crossroads, Route 890 and Seven Points Road. Featuring apple butter, soups, baked goods, apple dumplings, free pony rides, Balloon Man, a bounce house, and kids games. Entertainment by caricaturist Victor Kocur at 1:30 p.m. and Saving Grace at 10:30 a.m. and noon. Free door prizes.


Elijah’s Bowl Community Soup Kitchen serving 11 a.m.-noon at First Presbyterian Church, 238 Market St.

Northumberland and Snyder County Master Gardeners host a free “Putting Your Garden, Lawn and Pond to Bed,” workshop at 1 p.m. at the Degenstein Community Library, 40 S.  PROGRAM OF WORDS & MUSIC/Northumberland

Priestley Chapel Associates presents an informal program of words and music from 9:30-10:10 a.m. at Joseph Priestley Memorial Chapel, 380 Front St. This Sunday continues a multi-year recognition of the first US Poet Laureates (first known as Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress) with by reading selected poems of Joseph Auslander, whose term ran from 1937 -1941. Program features the favorite poems and songs of Tom and Jina Rosencrans from Northumberland. For more information visit:

Babies Boogie and Toddlers ROCK program, begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Priestley Forsyth Memorial Library. Program is for babies and toddlers, up to 24 months and their parents, caregivers, grandparents, or other special adults. Exploring books and toys is a focus of library time for the youngest library users. Singing songs and listening to music is part of this socialization time for your little ones.
