Upper Dauphin took an early 14-0 lead before the Tri-Valley rallied to remain undefeated in the Tri-Valley League with a 54-21 victory on Friday night.
Upper Dauphin (1-4 overall, 1-3 TVL) got a fumble-return touchdown from Ian Buffington and a 23-yard TD run from Cole Reed to take a 14-0 lead with 5:55 left in the first quarter.
That served as a wake-up call to Tri-Valley (5-0, 4-0), which ripped off 35 consecutive points to avoid the upset. Blake Bowman ran for 148 yards and two scores, while quarterback Dalton Miller added 106 yards and three scores on the ground and another through the air.
That sets up a battle of unbeaten teams when Williams Valley, a 20-0 winner over Halifax, travels to Hegins.
