Lauren E. Balliet, daughter of Donald and Stacey Balliet, was named Outstanding Senior at Warrior Run High School for March.
She is a member of National Honor Society, French Club, Defender Pride Club, student council, Math Club, and Robotics Club. She is also active in concert choir, marching band, cross country, and the swim team. She participates in competition swimming.
Her awards and achievements include Susquehanna Valley Band, District Band, Marines “Semper Fidelis” Music Excellence Award, swimming (district qualifier), 2012 Building Leaders of the Susquehanna Valley (BLSV), and BAusch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.
Balliet will attend Clarion University majoring in physics with a concentration on astrophysics.
Dana N. Miville, daughter of Jeff and Paula Miville, was named Watsontown Lions Club Student of the Month for March.
She is a member of student council, FBLA, “Warrior” yearbook staff, Reading Club, and is a library aide. She participates in 5K races and has received numerous trophies and medals.
Her awards and achievements include being an FBLA state qualifier in video production, was voted “shyest” in the Class of 2013, and has been named to the distinguished honor roll and as a distinguished summer reader.
She is employed by PA Runners, an electronic chip timing business.
Miville will attend Lock Haven University or Pennsylvania College of Technology majoring in pharmaceuticals.
Aaron W. Knopp, son of Craig and Brenda Knopp, was named Turbotville Lions Club Student of the Month for March.
He is a member of concert choir, student council, Spanish Club, National Honor Society, and Defender Pride Club.
He is an American Red Cross blood donor.
His awards and achievements include being a two-time Defender Pride recipient, being named to the distinguished honor roll, and a Wilkes University Scholarship recipient.
He is employed by Weis Markets.
Knopp will attend Wilkes University majoring in pharmacy.
