Victor Suquet's 37-yard field goal got Mifflinburg started on Friday night and a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns finished it off as Mifflinburg shut down Jersey Shore on its way a 17-0 win at Thompson Street Stadium in an HAC-I game.
Mifflinburg picked up its first win of the year, improving to 1-4 overall and in the HAC-I. Suquet's field goal gave the Wildcats a 3-0 lead after a scoreless first half. Mifflinburg then got a 10-yard TD pass from Kyle Failor to Oakley Whitesel to extend the lead and Chris Temple barrelled in from a yard out in the fourth quarter to make it 17-0.
Temple rushed for a team-high 51 yards and the score. Dustin Mertz caught three passes and also threw one for 41 yards as three different Wildcats completed at least one pass.
