An Easter egg hunt held at 11 a.m. at the Anthony Township building. Age groups: 1-4, 5-8,  9-12. First, second and third places will be awarded for all three age groups. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to pose for pictures with children.

An Easter egg hunt begins at 11 a.m. at the pavilion on the hill at Trinity United Methodist Church of Winfield, Route 15 and State Route 304. Held inside church if inclement weather. Prizes for four separate age groups.


Good Friday Breakfasts


The Mifflinburg Kiwanis Club invites the public to its annual Good Friday breakfast in the social hall of the United Methodist Church, corner of Fifth and Market streets. The Monica and Tony Hauger family will be the designated beneficiaries to help with medical expenses being incurred since their 10 year-old son, Aaron, was diagnosed with encephalitis in mid-Decemeber. Aaron, one of seven children, was hospitalized for more than two months at both Geisinger and Hershey. Breakfast buffet begins at 8 a.m. and will offer pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee cake and an assortment of beverages. Music and a spiritual message is planned. The 53rd Annual Sunbury YMCA Good Friday Breakfast held 8-9 a.m. at the Packer House. Cost of $10 includes tax and gratuity. Reservations required by calling 570-286-5636 or email by March 28.


Easter buffet


The Rusty Rail Brewing Company will be hosting an Easter Day Brunch Buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Slow roasted chicken and seafood jambalaya will be on the menu. EASTER BUFFET/Northumberland

The Front Street Station will hold an Easter buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meal includes round of beef, baked country ham, roasted chicken breast, baked whitefish and a variety of side dishes.
