Ross Garside, a computer consultant for The Answer Dept,based in Freeburg, has achieved QuickBooks certified proadvisor accreditation from Intuit. The Sunbury resident successfully completed numerous training course modules, troubleshooting simulations and certification exams to earn the designation.
As a QuickBooks certified proAdvisor, Garside can more efficiently help customers use their QuickBooks financial software and payroll more effectively. He is also certified in lean manufacturing implementation and Oracle and PeopleSoft implementation.
Garside, who attended Penn State University, specializes in business solutions, computer hardware and software, and computer consulting and programming aimed at helping businesses function at their optimum. He is most recognized as the creator of the notion of auto-ranging for spreadsheets, along with the Autosum routine for Lotus 123. Auto-ranging is necessary for the use of GUI buttons in Microsoft Office and Excel.
The Answer Dept is a team of business and IT professionals who analyze business needs and assess existing technology, processes and workflows to improve efficiencies and productivity.
Connie K. May and Linda Treese of Prudential Hodrick Realty have been named to prestigious Leading Edge Society for 2009 by Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, Inc., a Prudential Financial, Inc. [NYSE:PRU] company. The award recognizes residential sales professionals who exemplified great sales measures in closed residential GCI, commercial GCI or closed 35 residential units for the year.

Michael Damiano, an Edward Jones financial advisor in Selinsgrove for the past 11 years, was recently named a principal with the firm's holding company, the Jones Financial Companies, LLLP. He is one of only 34 individuals chosen from more than 40,000 associates across the globe to join the firm's 316 principals. Damiano will remain in Selinsgrove and continue to serve investors throughout the area.
