MILTON -- David L. Levitan, 59, a resident of Kramm Health and Rehab Center, formerly of 62 S. Front St., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, after an illness of several months.
He was born Nov. 24, 1952, a son of the late Paul M. and Mary C. Levitan.
He attended Milton Area High School and received his GED from Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit in January 1981. David served in the Marines from 1974 to 1976 when he was honorably discharged.
In his younger years, David was a lifeguard at the Milton YMCA and in his later years performed volunteer work at the Cameron House operated by the Milton Historical Society. He worked briefly at McDonald's in Milton during the summer of 2011 before he became ill.
David enjoyed the outdoors immensely and liked to hunt and fish. He could often be seen walking in downtown Milton.
He is survived by an aunt, uncles, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey A. Levitan in 1994.
At his request, there will be no flowers or services.
