SELINSGROVE — Helen F. Wagner, 88, of Pennsfield Apartments, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at the Manor at Penn Village, where she recently became a guest.
She was born Aug. 5, 1919, in Berwick, one of eight children to the late Josef and Anastasia (Paraska) Fedin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, William Hunter and Clair Stahl. On Sept. 17, 1981, she married Martin A. Wagner, who survives.
Helen attended Berwick schools.
In earlier years she was employed by Groce's Silk Mill in Selinsgrove.
She was baptized at the Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church, Berwick, and later attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Selinsgrove.
She was a member of the women's Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1173, Selinsgrove.
Helen enjoyed spending her time knitting and baking cookies and cakes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her niece, Nancy Kushnerick Herman, of Rochester, Mich., niece, Carol Kushnerick Bodwalk, of Berwick, and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Nicholas and William Fedin, and four sisters, Anna Huda, Mary Roll, Katherine Atherton and Susan Holoviak.
Friends and family may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, where a parastas service will begin at 11 with Father James Weremedic officiating.
Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
