LEWISBURG €" Mildred L. Shumaker, 101, formerly of Cornwall Manor and Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007, in RiverWoods, Lewisburg.

She was born May 2, 1906, in Greenwood, Sussex County, Del., a daughter of the late William Albert and Mary A. (Owens) Long. She was the wife of the late Victor H. Shumaker.

Mildred was a graduate of the University of Delaware, earning a B.A. in Education.

She was an elementary school teacher, retiring from the Upper Darby School District in 1961, after 35 years of teaching.

Mildred was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Lewisburg, the Delaware County Retired Teachers Association, and the Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by two nephews, Daniel C. Boop of Lewisburg and David G. Boop of Danielsville, Ga.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Florence L. Long, and a niece, Joanne G. Boop.

There will be a visitation from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Rohland Funeral Home, 508 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Maple St., Lebanon
