A conference call between parties interested in possibly purchasing Wood-Mode and company officials were positive and a Valley man leading the push said he is "hopeful" talks will continue.
Maurice Brubaker, a Lewisburg accountant who is proposing to purchase Wood-Mode's assets and reopen the recently closed plant, was part of the conference call with Wood-Mode officials today.
Brubaker would not say how long the conference call was, but he said the call ended in a way "feels like the talks will continue."
No time was set for another meeting, Brubaker said, but he is "hopeful the two sides will meet again."
Brubaker said he appreciates all the support he has received from former Wood-Mode employees who have reached out to him.
