MONTOURSVILLE - Work on a $4.2 million Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) project in four counties in central Pennsylvania continues today with work along Route 15 southbound just north of Allenwood in Gregg Township, Union County.
The contractor will close the southbound shoulder of Route 15 to install a Dynamic Message Sign (DMS) during daylight hours. This work is expected to take two days to complete.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This work is part of a multi-year project that began last year and includes the installation of Dynamic Message Signs, Highway Advisory Radio (HAR), and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) at key locations along major roadways in Columbia, Lycoming, Montour and Union counties.
