A Lewisburg man remains jailed on allegations he broke down a woman’s apartment door and punched and choked her while six juvenile children were inside the residence, according to arrest papers.
Thomas I. Hall, 29, of Lewisburg, is held in Union County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. He’s been in custody since his arrest Oct. 30.
According to arrest papers, Hall kicked open the door at an apartment in the 500 block of Market Street, where he no longer lives. Hall punched a woman once with a closed fist, pushed and shoved her and used both hands to choke her neck, arrest papers state.
The incident occurred after 11 p.m. Oct. 29, arrest papers state.
Patrolman Gary Heckman, Buffalo Valley Regional Police, charged Hall with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass, misdemeanor counts of strangulation and simple assault, summary counts of harassment and criminal mischief.
The woman suffered scratches and abrasions to the left side of her face and neck, arrest papers state.
Senior District Judge Richard Cashman, Lewisburg, arraigned Hall and set bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today.
