WATSONTOWN — Registration is now open for entrants in The Father’s Hope Chili Cook Off, to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. April 18, at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown.

Individuals wishing to enter a crock pot of chili in the contest must pre-register by April 1. A $10 donation is requested from each entrant.

The cook off will be free to attend, and those in attendance will have the opportunity to taste test the chili. The winner will be determined by a cash vote from those in attendance. All proceeds from the event will benefit Father’s Hope, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Financial contributions to Father’s Hope are used exclusively for Father’s Hope’s mission, either to cover the cost of shipping small stuffed animals to orphanages around the world, or to assist with projects at orphanages Father’s Hope partners with.

Father’s Hope recently added two new locations where donations of small stuffed animals can be dropped off. Those locations are: Central Penn Women’s Health, 301 Arch St., Suite B, Sunbury; and the office of Gregg Fisher, D.C., 1050 Broad St., Suite 2, Montoursville.

Donations of small stuffed animals can also be dropped off at: Revival Tabernacle; The UPS Store, 185 AJK Blvd., Lewisburg; Standard Journal, 21 N. Arch St., Milton; The Milton Public Library, 541 Broadway, Milton; and McWilliams Uniform Shoppe, 134 Mill St., Danville.

Since the effort was launched late in 2012, Father’s Hope has touched the lives of over 13,000 orphans and children in need in 17 countries, including the United States.

Tax-deductible financial contributions to Father’s Hope can be sent to: Father’s Hope, 9 Greenbriar Drive, Milton, PA 17847.
