MIDDLEBURG — A Sunbury woman was sent to state prison after admitting to a September assault that violated her supervision sentencing on a previous charge, according to Snyder County District Attorney Mike Piecuch.
Jacquelyn Engel, 27, of 10th St., who had previously been charged with assault in Snyder County in July 2017, was arrested in September in Sunbury after Stonington troopers responded to reported child abuse in Rockefeller Township.
Engel pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of children in November for the recent charge in Northumberland County, according to court documents.
Piecuch said Engel was on Snyder County supervision at the time of the arrest and appeared in Snyder County Court for a revocation hearing where she admitted she violated her supervision in September.
Piecuch said the woman was given a new sentence of six to 24 months in state prison.
