DANVILLE — Borough police charged a man with stealing Coricidin and milk from supermarkets after a friend lied to police saying he took the items.
Danville Patrolman Jacob Walker charged Justin Pegg, 18, of 520 E. Front St., with two counts of retail theft. He allegedly took a box of Corcidin from Weis Markets worth $4.49 and two containers of milk from Giant Foods valued at $3.44. Both offenses occurred March 1.
Pegg told police he took the items.
On Friday, police charged Sean Cote, 18, of 63 Fisher Court, with unsworn falsification to authorities for the incident. Police said Cote didn’t take the items.
