SUNBURY — Sunbury police have caught a second suspect involved in a December 28 stabbing that sent two Susquehanna Avenue residents to area hospitals.
Christopher Antanasio, was arrested by police on December 30 in connection to the stabbing and beating attacks on Rex Millington, 31, and April Barrows, 26.
Barrows, who narrowly escaped the residence, is nine-months pregnant.
Nelson Navarro, 31, was previously arrested at the residence the night of the stabbing.
Sunbury police went searching for Antanasio following the incident and captured him several days later.
Navarro was arraigned in front of District Judge Richard Cashman and sent to Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
The incident began at around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, when Police were called to the Turkey Hill Market, Front St., after workers reported Barrows was there with a stab wound.
Barrows told police she was nine months pregnant and had been stabbed in her lower back and kicked in the stomach by intruders and that they were still in the house and had a gun.
Antanasio and Navarro are scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. in front of District Judge Ben Apfelbaum.
