The National Weather Service's winter weather advisory has expired.

The service had forecast a winter storm with snowfall totals of 3-6 inches with a layer of ice, but the storm did not affect some parts of the Susquehanna Valley.

The advisory called for snowfall to occasionally be "moderately heavy in intensity," according to the alert. But the snow stopped early in Sunbury and little to no accumulation was reported in other areas, including Danville and Shamokin.
