This year, I had the good fortune of sharing Halloween with my grandchildren in downtown Sunbury. The evening started out at the River of Life celebration that was held in Cameron Park. The celebration consisted of music, dancing, food, games and fellowship. After several hours of fun, we traveled to the "Hill" section to explore the Haunted House that was provided by Debbie Betz and the "Hill Neighborhood," where, once again, we were treated to a wonderful experience.

I was surprised the following morning when I picked up The Daily Item and saw nothing about the activities that were provided by the caring citizens of Sunbury.

It is no wonder that the town I have called home for over 50 years has the reputation that it does, when the hometown newspaper prints so much negativity. I wish to personally thank the River of Life and the Hill Section Neighborhood for a very positive Halloween.
