LEWISBURG -- Robert Lester Mueller, 53, of Lewisburg, died Saturday morning, June 2, 2007, at his home.

He was born Oct. 8, 1953, in St. Louis, Mo., a son of Marian (Lindemeyer) Mueller, of St. Louis, and the late Lester John Mueller. He was married for 25 years to the former Janet Hefti, who survives.

Mr. Mueller was a graduate of Lindbergh High School in St. Louis, and was an undergraduate at Carleton College in Minnesota and a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.

He was vice-president of investments and corporate treasurer of the Blue Cross of NEPA for the past nine years. Earlier, he worked at Geisinger Medical Center, Barnes Hospital, Anheuser Bush and the Macy Department Stores.

Mr. Mueller was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Lewisburg.

He was also a member of the Association of Financial Professionals.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, William Mueller, at home; a daughter, Jennifer Mueller, at home; a sister, Linda Mueller, of St. Louis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and aunts and uncles.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, were his father-in-law and mother-in-law.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church by his pastor, the Rev. John D. Yost. A reception, with a time of refreshment and fellowship, will be held in the church gym following the funeral.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Mr. Mueller's memory be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 2349 Old Turnpike Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837; Gift Accounting Office of Carleton College, 1 N. College St., Northfield, MI 55057; the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701; or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg.
