ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Sabahat "Sabby" Yumen, 85, passed away on May 24, 2008, after a lengthy illness.
Sabby taught French throughout her professional career in the Canadian school system, retiring as a department director in 1987. She was fluent in six languages.
Other than linguistics, she loved to read, travel and spend time with her granddaughters. She will be terribly missed by all of us. Special thanks to The Hospice House at The Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Adam, her son, Omar, daughter-in law Judy, and granddaughters, Lisa and Anna of Danville, Pa.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
