SELINSGROVE — Dominic Dunn scored 22 points and added eight rebounds, Zach Knecht added 16 points and eight rebounds, and Susquehanna used a strong second half to run away with an 84-70 victory over Elizabethtown in Landmark Conference men’s basketball Saturday.

Susquehanna (10-5, 3-1 Landmark) closed the game on an extended 41-20 run.

 

WOMEN’S

n Bucknell 56, Lafayette 47 

EASTON — Kaitlyn Slagus scored 20 points, and freshman Taylor O’Brien added a career-high 13 to lead the Bison.

Bucknell (12-4, 3-1 Patriot League) got 28 points from its bench, led by O’Brien.

Lafayette (6-9, 1-3) led 29-28 with 3:33 to play in the third, but Bucknell closed the quarter with a 13-3 run.

Susquehanna 74, OT 

SELINSGROVE — The River Hawks (5-9, 2-2 Landmark) put four starters in double-figure scoring, but it was not enough.

Erin McQuillen led Susquehanna with 20 points, Sadie Comfort had 17 points, and Nevin Hoenninger added 14 points. Warrior Run graduate Madi Welliver had her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and a season-high five blocks.

The Blue Jays’ Lydia Lawson scored 13 of her game-high 37 points in overtime.
