Bucknell played without Avi Toomer, Bruce Moore and Paul Newman, who were suspended for a violation of team rules.
Bucknell coach Nathan Davis said those suspensions would be revisited sometime today, so they could be back on Sunday ... or they might sit some more.
Toomer and Moore have both started games this season and average playing more than 20 minutes each.
“It hurt us,” Davis admitted. “Two of those three guys play heavy minutes for us and they’re two of our better perimeter defenders, so the first two times we played them they were matched up with (Loyola’s) Andre Walker really the entire time, so we couldn’t do that.
“There’s no doubt we’re better off with them, but I thought Nate Jones, Jimmy Sotos, Ben (Robertson) and Matt O’Reilly came in in the first half and did the job we needed them to do and helped us win the game.”
