MIFFLINTOWN — Walter K. "Pap" Weaver Jr., 68, of Mifflintown, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born March 7, 1941, in Armaugh Township, Mifflin County, a son of the late Walter K. Sr. and Florence C. (Smith) Weaver.
Pap attended West Snyder High School.
He had been employed in construction.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards, boxing and was a Phillies and Steelers fan.
He is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Gregory Weaver, of Winfield, Bradley and Angela Weaver, of Middleburg, and Kelly Weaver, and fiancee Jessica Snyder, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob Weaver, of Selinsgrove, and Jay Weaver, of Middleburg; and four sisters, Anna Herman, of Beavertown, Fae Williams, of New Jersey, Florence Hartley, of Selinsgrove, and Carrie Karcher, of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and James Weaver, and one sister, Catherine Ramsey.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wayside Bible Church Cemetery, Middleburg, with the Rev. Carvel K. May officiating.
